Such a calming, gorgeous garden

There’s nothing I love more than walking through nature, and the Boboli Gardens were something else! Obviously the vegetation is beautiful, but what impressed me were the attractions. Wherever we turned, there were stunning statues - and don’t get me started on the Artichoke Fountain! Literally, every corner of these gardens is beautiful. Well worth your visit!

These Boboli Gardens tickets saved the day!

When we got to the Boboli Gardens, there was an hour of waiting time. Since it was already 4:30, and the garden closes at 6:30, we would barely have time to explore. But thanks to these Boboli Gardens skip-the-line tickets, we entered immediately! We had a full 2 hours inside the gardens, and really saw everything.

Boboli Gardens Tickets

EXPLORE THE BEAUTIFUL BOBOLI GARDENS

Originally designed for the Medici family, the Boboli Gardens are now an open-air museum and a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you wander through the gardens, you’ll discover the vibrant greenery that surrounds gorgeous statues and large fountains. For example, ensure you see the stunning “Fountain of Neptune” - it’s especially breathtaking.

FIND THE GROTTA DEL BUONTALENTI

Close to the entrance to the Boboli Gardens, at the end of the Vasari corridor, you’ll come across the Grotta del Buontalenti. This imposing yet beautiful cave is an artificial construction containing statues of shepherds, sheep, and Roman goddesses. You’ll also find plenty of false stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is an exquisitely detailed, imposing work of architecture where every corner has something to look at. Its centerpiece, however, is perhaps Giambologna's beautiful statue of the goddess of love, Venus.

STROLL AROUND THE GARDENS AT YOUR OWN PACE

With your Boboli Gardens tickets, you can stay in the gardens for as long as you like. Take your time and wander around the greenery to your heart’s content, exploring every fountain and statue that catches your eye. Since you can spend the entire day there, you can really enjoy nature, and escape the hustle and bustle of Florence.

LEAVE THE GARDENS FEELING REFRESHED

Exit the gardens feeling refreshed after exploring the lush greenery. Just steps away, you’ll find Palazzo Pitti, one of Florence’s largest art museums, which is a perfect next stop with your Pitti Palace tickets booked in advance. The Bardini Gardens, another peaceful spot, are also nearby.

Do you know who are the architects behind the Boboli Gardens?

Niccolò Tribolo, an Italian artist and architect serving Cosimo I de' Medici, was the Boboli Gardens’ original architect. However, after his death in 1550, three others took over his task: Bartolomeo Ammanati, Giorgio Vasari, and Bernardo Buontalenti. Ammanati oversaw the construction, Vasari contributed to the planning of the grottos, and Buontalenti was involved with sculptures and the architecture of the main grotto.

What else should I do while in Florence?

Besides the cathedral, the complex also includes Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower, and the Opera del Duomo Museum. If you love art and want to see the world’s most exquisite art collections, we recommend booking Galleria dell’Accademia Tickets and Uffizi Gallery Tickets. To add something more unique and hands-on to your trip, join a Florence cooking class, as it is a fun and authentic way to experience Italian culture through food. If you're planning to stay a few days and want to visit as many attractions as possible, the Florence Pass is a great option that can save you up to 35%. For a quick escape from the city, consider a day trip to Pisa from Florence to see the Leaning Tower and stroll around the historic Piazza dei Miracoli, or book a tour to Siena from Florence to explore its medieval streets, famous square, and beautiful cathedral.
